I am a qualified Montessori teacher with over 16 years experience working with children in schools and nurseries.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Art & English and a Diploma in Child Psychology.
I have had extensive training over the years, including managing challenging behaviour and have worked with many educational professionals including Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Educational Psychologists.
I also hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate, valid DBS (CRB) check and have a full clean driving license.
My approach with children is that of kindness, patience and understanding, and a strong desire to see them succeed and be happy in whatever they set out to achieve.
No child is ever made to feel they “cannot do”, instead I see it as my role to help them understand and enjoy through their own preferred learning journey, adapting my approach to suit them.
Emphasis is very much on the individual child and supporting them in the best way possible.
I have worked closely with children of all abilities, including those with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Downs Syndrome, SPD and varying degrees of speech and language issues.
